Solarium

Are you planning to add a solarium to your home in order to prolong summer months and to be able to enjoy the sunlight all day long?
Whether you’re planning a 3- or a 4‑season solarium, screw pile foundations are the best solution for you because of their solidity, durability and affordable cost.

Stability and solidity

Installed under the ground’s frost line and held in place by helix plates, our piles are unaffected by ground movements due to spring thaw, which means your solarium is safely supported. Moreover, the piles can be installed in any soil type and whatever the environmental constraints!

Quick and easy installation

The number, size and placement of piles required for your project will depend on the projected structure and its weight. An engineer will also determine what type of pile to use according to the scope of your project and the type of soil since the requirements of firm ground differ from that of boggy terrain. To better understand soil and pile characteristics, please refer to the technical sheets.

Screw piles could allow you to forgo excavation work altogether, and the machinery we use is much lighter than that necessary to put up traditional concrete foundations. Our Kubota mini-tractor is equipped with lawn tires that will not damage your property, contrary to the heavy machinery required for regular foundations. Our equipment is also capable of circulating and functioning in very tight spots, and our installers can easily install piles close to existing structures.

You will be ready to install your solarium as soon as the piles have been driven into the ground. No additional delays required! Make sure, however to provide adequate insulation to solarium floor since its underside will be exposed to the elements.

Our Piles

Similar to a giant screw, the piles are driven into the ground using specialized equipment and are anchored into place thanks to a helix plate situated at the bottom of the shaft. The piles can therefore securely support structures such as houses, patios, garden sheds, fences and much more. The piles can be used to support new or existent structures.
