Terrace or balcony

Terrace or balcony foundations must be installed sufficiently deep into the ground to ensure their stability.
Screw piles are driven under the ground’s frost line and are anchored in place thanks to the helix plate at the bottom the pile’s shaft. This makes the piles impervious to ground movements caused by spring thaw and thus ensures your structure’s stability. Screw piles are the ideal solution for unstable ground, flood prone zones or steep inclines. A terrace or a balcony set on screw piles offers you unparalleled stability. Moreover, the piles can be installed in any soil type and whatever the environmental constraints!

Quick and easy installation

Screw piles could allow you to forgo excavation work altogether, and the machinery we use is much lighter than that necessary to put up traditional concrete foundations. Our Kubota mini-tractor is equipped with lawn tires that will not damage your property, contrary to the heavy machinery required for regular foundations. Our equipment is also capable of circulating and functioning in very tight spots, and our installers can easily install piles close to existing structures.

The number, size and placement of the piles will depend on the type of structure and its weight. Pro Post Foundations’ technical team will also take into account the type of soil in order to determine the type and number of piles to be installed. We offer piles ranging in diameter between 1 ⅞ and 6 ⅝ inches equipped with helix plates anywhere from 8 to 36 inches in size. To learn more about the product, please refer to the technical data sheets.

Installing screw piles can be particularly useful when time is of essence. Installation is quick and there is no waiting time before construction can begin. You can start building your terrace or balcony as soon as the piles have been driven into the ground!

Our Piles

Similar to a giant screw, the piles are driven into the ground using specialized equipment and are anchored into place thanks to a helix plate situated at the bottom of the shaft. The piles can therefore securely support structures such as houses, patios, garden sheds, fences and much more. The piles can be used to support new or existent structures.
