ALAIN ANSWERS YOUR QUESTIONS
Answers to the most frequently asked questions in the Lower Laurentians region.
Are screw piles suitable for my type of soil?
We can install piles in almost any type of soil: clay, sand or rock. Their design guarantees excellent stability, even in complex soils. If you have any doubts, I can come and evaluate your soil to make sure that everything is in order, so that I can offer you the solution that perfectly matches your needs.
How long does it take to install a foundation?
As soon as you get in touch with me, I’ll analyze your needs and the specifications of your project. Once this stage has been completed, the installation of the screw piles takes just a few hours. In general, it takes about a week from first contact to completion.
Is there a warranty on the installation of screw piles?
The screw piles installed in the Lower Laurentians region come with a free 25-year warranty. To find out more, visit our warranty. You’ll find an informative video explaining all you need to know.
How can I estimate the number of screw piles necessary for my project?
You can make an estimate by dividing the surface area of your structure by the common pile spacing, which is about 6 to 8 feet. This gives a good idea, but I’ll be able to give you the exact number once I’ve evaluated your project in detail.
Are screw piles a good option for inclined terrain?
Yes, our foundations are perfectly suited to inclined areas. Extensions can be added to adjust their length and then cut to the desired level, which is impossible with sonotubes. This flexibility guarantees a stable base, even on sloping ground.
Is the installer familiar with the local building regulations?
As a certified installer, I am fully trained to meet all local building regulations and the standards set by the Canadian Construction Materials Centre (CCMC). This ensures your project adheres to current codes and maintains the highest levels of quality and safety.
